It is the stories that we use to inspire each other, and storytelling has a long history in various cultures.
There is something unique and amazing about stories that are told with all the elements of a masterpiece including plot, setting, characters, stakes, and the deeper things of the soul, heart, and mind.
It was my experience in 2021 to have engaged these types of amazing stories mainly as audiobooks, and listen to them as an experience. So much inspiration has been the result that I wrote a book about the experience of rediscovering the classics, many for the first time.

In this book linked above to Amazon I describe my experiences of books that I had not yet read in my life from the amazing stories of Tolstoy (pictured at top), Steinbeck, Emily and Charlotte Bronte, Charles Dickens, Ernest Hemingway, Herman Melville, Alexandre Dumas, Gabriel Garcia Marquez, Dostoevsky, and many more.
This may or may not be to your own tastes or , and I respect that. Not everyone engages with fiction novels as amazing stories. With classics many only but remember them as a high school project.
However, if you have an open mind, I invite you to explore the possibilities of experiencing amazing stories in a new way, as an adventure, and as a connection to the many varieties of human experience when, even in fiction, can be inspiring and create a strong empathy for humanity.
I published a Kindle book on Amazon that describes my audiobook journey in 2021 when I only focused on classics. In 2022, I am enjoying modern fiction best sellers and Pultzer Prize winners.
As of March 2022 these are the books that I have enjoyed so far this year as audiobooks.
The Hobbit, All the Light We Cannot See, Stoner, The Scarlet Sky, The Return of the King (Tolkien), The Secret History, The Name of the Rose, Where the Crawdads Sing, Remembering Laughter, And Every Morning the Way Home Gets Longer and Longer, The Midnight Library, The Shadow of the Wind, The Starless Sea, Hamnet, Lonesome Dove, Dandelion Wine, A Visit from the Goon Squad, and I am halfway through Project Hail Mary. Charles Dickens Great Expectations is also going and I'm enjoying this also.
Oh yeah. wow.
All
of these were experienced from my subscription on Audible. They have a
free 7 day trial that allows for a free download. If you cancel, you can
still keep it. However, with the subscription, in addition to getting
one download per month there is a Plus Catalog that has a very large
selection of audiobooks that are free downloads. I love the service.
